About The Magic Spotlight

The Magic Spotlight is a magic variety show featuring some of Florida's (and the world's) most talented magic entertainers.

The show debuted at The Improv Paradise Live (at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Hollywood, Florida) on Tuesday evening, October 7, 2008, 8:00 PM, and its first season ran at the Improv the first Tuesday of every month, October 2008 through March 2009.

The show's 2009-2010 season is set to kick off October 7, 2009 at the New York Comedy Club in Boca Raton, Florida. Season 2 shows will take place the first Wednesday of every month.

The show is produced and hosted by Avi Frier, a South Florida-based comedy magician who has been performing professionally since 1985.

Here are the types of acts you can expect to see as the season progresses:

• Stage magicians
• Comedy magicians
• Close-up magicians
• Mentalists
• Young magicians (we plan to feature one talented kid per month)
• Sideshow acts and other wackiness
• Jugglers, ventriloquists, and other variety acts (occasionally)
